During a series of 10 Rolfing sessions the planes through the body ideally become more horizontal

The photo on the left clearly shows the problems present before the first Rolfing session. For example, her legs are hyperextended (i.e. her knees are locked back) and her pelvis is tilted forward. Her belly is hanging to the front. Her chest is folded inwards and her upper body is leaning backwards. To balance all of this, she has to hold her head far forward. This posture limits her breath, both in her lower back and her upper chest.
The photo of the girl after 10 Rolfing sessions shows how her posture has changed; her physical structure is more integrated. Take a look at the example drawings to the right of the photos – the way the blocks of the body line up with an inner axis is apparent.
