A Rolfing session lasts about 75 minutes. First your structure and the way you move are analyzed. From this comes an individualized Rolfing session during which you're mostly lying down, though there may also be work done as you sit, stand or walk. With precisely and sensitively applied pressure your connective tissue is made more free, and manipulated in such a way so as make more optimal the physical structure of your body. Focused awareness, directed breath and guided movements enhance this process. This sometimes intense form of touch can result in feelings and memories coming into your awareness.

A basic series consists of 10 Rolfing sessions, each session building on the previous one – the exact content of each Rolfing session depends on your individual structure and aims. If you like, before and after photos can be used to document the results.

Additional questions, for example about the cost of Rolfing sessions, can be answered by a Rolfer in your area. It's best to simply use your favorite search engine to find a Rolfer. You can confirm that a Rolfer is in good standing here and read about choosing a Rolfer here.
